Naperville North Twilight Invite
Season PR's everywhere!
Every year the Twilight Invite has some of the toughest competition outside of the state meet. Combine that with an electrifying atmosphere and amazing weather for running, and you get 22 girls running season best times!
The frosh/soph team started out the night with a 6th place team finish. Kylie led the team with a 19th place individual finish and came so close to breaking 20 minutes for the first time! Special shout out to some other massive lifetime best runs: Lexi D. 27 sec. improvement, Chloe M. 48 sec. improvement, Payton 49 sec. improvement and Lexi K. 55 sec. improvement. Way to go ladies!
The JV team placed 11th as a team and was led by Nora's 9th place run. Gianna had a great race to break 21 minutes for the first time! This season alone Gianna has been able to chop almost 2 minutes off her PR! Congratulations to Leah C. for running a 27 second lifetime best and Maggie for running a 30 second lifetime best in the JV race!
In the final race of the night, the varsity team got out strong and ran aggressively throughout the race. They went toe to toe with some of the best teams in the state and came away with a 2nd place team result! This is the highest team finish we have had at the Twilight Invite. The bulldogs had 4 runners in the top 20 led by Avery Hacker's 3rd place finish. Close behind was Maddie C. (14th) Gwennie (15th) and Claire (19th). All four ran lifetime bests and were under 18 minutes! Maddie W. and Sara both went under 19 minutes for the first time this season running strong as our 5th and 6th runners. Halle ran the biggest PR out of the group by closing the gap and running to a 44 sec. lifetime best! What a fun race to watch!

Bartlett Flyin' Hawk Invite

Varsity and Frosh/Soph Champs!
The bulldogs dominated the Flyin' Hawk Invite at Bartlett High School. Avery Hacker won the Varsity race that saw four bulldogs in the top top 7. Gwennie (4th), Maddie C. (6th), Claire (7th) and Chloe (21st) ran to a low score of 26 points to win the team title. The frosh/soph team ran just as tough with four runners in the top six. Leading the way was Sara with the individual victory. Following closely behind was Halle (3rd), Kylie (4th), Sadie (6th), Payton (13th) and Halas (23rd) all earning individual medals. The final race of the day saw Liv and Nora run 1-2 in the open race. Rachel and Gianna also placed by running to a 16th and 17th place finish. Overall, we had the individual winner in each of the three races, won two of the three team titles, and had 26 girls run season best times on the 3-mile course! |
Minooka Flight Invite
Open places 2nd!
The Bulldogs battled warm weather conditions and tough opponents at the Minooka Invite this past weekend. Led by a 3rd place finish from Sasha and a 4th place finish from Kylie, the open team tied Naperville Central with 61 points. Naperville ultimately won on the sixth runner tie-breaker. Payton and Sadie ran tough to finish in 16th and 17th place. Rounding out the team scoring was Rachel in 26th place. Congrats on your 2nd place team finish ladies!

Roy Griak Invitational
Varsity places 6th!
The varsity team took a trip up to Minnesota to run in the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational this past weekend. Running against many of the top teams in the midwest in the championship race, the Bulldogs placed 6th overall. The team place ties the 2019 team for our highest finish at the Griak. Sophomore Avery Hacker led the way with a 15th place finish out of 415 runners! Also finishing in the top 50 was junior Maddie Cassidy, placing 44th. |

First to the Finish Invite
The Bulldogs take on the famous Detweiller course in Peoria!
In the varsity race, Avery Hacker used a strong third mile to place 5th individually, running to a new lifetime 3 mile PR! Following close behind and also running a lifetime PR was Maddie Cassidy in 12th. Gwennie Krodel had a nice race to place 20th and Chloe Kammes used a strong second half to run down several opponents and move all the way up to 31st place. Sasha Semanision ran as a key fifth runner, placing 59th. Strong team running and small gaps between runners led to a 2nd place team finish out of 37 teams! WOW!!
In the open race Liv and Kylie got out strong running in the top 10 for most of the race. Liv Gebhardt finished in 9th and Kylie McDougall was 14th. Also placing in the top 50 to earn a medal was Payton Eifrid in 45th place! Having three runners in the top 50 along with a lifetime PR by Gianna Cesarone in 76th and a strong run by Sadie Tesdall in 98th was enough to bring the team to a 5th place finish! 5th place out of 53 teams entered in the open race is an amazing accomplishment!

Hinsdale Red Devil Invite
Varsity places 3rd!
This week the varsity team ran a strong team race against several top 10 ranked teams. The Bulldogs were led by individual medalists Avery Hacker (7th), Maddie Cassidy (11th) and Gwennie Krodel (18th). Claire Deppe (27th) and Sasha Semanision (41st) moved throughout the race securing low team points as our 4th and 5th runners to lock in a top 3 team finish for the Bulldogs! The Frosh/Soph team placed 5th overall and was led by a pair of freshmen, Halle Hillman and Sara Wolfe in 12th and 19th place! Chloe Kammes took the lead in the open race from the gun and never looked back! She ran to a decisive victory in the 1.9 mile race by putting 17 seconds on her closest opponent. The open team ran strong behind Chloe's 1st place finish. Rachel Agro also earned an individual medal placing 25th overall! Way to go ladies!! |

Kane County Invite
Varsity and Open teams take 1st place at this years Kane County Meet!
The Varsity team was led by a 1-2-3 sweep from Avery, Maddie C. and Gwennie. Claire and Nora had great races to close out the scoring in 7th and 8th. the Bulldogs won the meet with a score of 21 points as the next closest team had 51 points. Also earning individual awards in the varsity race were Liv (10th), Maddie W. (11th), Kylie (13th) and Sara (15th).
The open race saw Sasha, Ali, Rachel and Gianna take the first four spots! Lindsay was 6th to complete the team scoring and give the Bulldogs a low score of 16 points. That is just one point away from a perfect score! Also placing individually was Gaby Moore in 15th place. Way to go ladies!
The Frosh/Soph team ran tough and placed second as a team. They were led by Sadie who had a fantastic race to finish 6th overall in her first 3-mile race! Payton (8th), Lexi K. (9th) and Maddy M. (14th) were also in the top 15 and earned individual medals. This Frosh/Soph team will only get better as they continue to gain experience and their confidence grows!

Cornboil Intersquad Race
Congrats to the GOLD team on their Intersquad victory! The 2-mile time trial was an excellent start to the 2024 racing season.
